Our efforts towards a more responsible economy have enabled us to obtain several major certifications: Impri’Vert since 2015, LUCIE 26000 and Global Compact since November 2019, as well as Ecovadis and ISO 14001 since 2022.
Crowning this pursuit of excellence, Sÿnia is today one of the very first French printers to become a mission-driven company, thus affirming its desire to embed its purpose at the heart of its economic model and societal impact.
Sÿnia is also the first French doming company to have obtained the Impri’Vert label and the first French printer to obtain the LUCIE 26000 label, thus confirming its pioneering position and its constant commitment to a more sustainable future.

Our environmental
policy
It encompasses all environmental actions undertaken by Sÿnia for the production of ecological labels. These are essential as they enable us to move towards a more environmentally friendly world.
This policy is one of the pillars of our CSR approach and allows us to be part of this era of protection and respect.
Our responsible management of natural resources is a clearly differentiating and innovative argument in the doming sector. Increasingly, environmental regulations are being implemented to protect the planet and encourage sustainable practices. The transition to more environmentally friendly practices has a truly stimulating effect on innovation within Sÿnia.

Upcycling our Resin
We welcomed two students from ENSAM (National Superior School of Architecture of Montpellier) to upcycle the main material we use for manufacturing ecological labels: polyurethane resin. Indeed, it allows us to produce domings and provide this unparalleled embossed finish.
In this way, their visit allows us to enhance the value of our main waste product. The objective is to transform it into a superior quality finished product, and above all, one that is more environmentally friendly.
Environmental Awareness
Cigarette Butt Recycling
Sÿnia has therefore engaged the Éco-Mégot association to raise awareness, collect, and recycle cigarette butts from all our employees. The first step is to make them aware of disposing of cigarette butts in the correct place, and subsequently, to inform them about the environmental risks associated with improper disposal.
A Research and Development unit has even been opened. This is to “create the first industrial recycling tool that completely decontaminates cigarette butts.”

RE-Inspire: the Reforestation Project
As its name suggests, this project is based on solidarity, thanks to our partnership with Reforest’Action. Indeed, it involves participating in the reforestation of Lavial in Haiti and Piura in Peru. Because having the power to improve the lives of others is a privilege closely associated with a sense of duty.
And at Sÿnia, we have understood this well, which is why we have included our employees. In fact, the Reforest’Action project allows everyone to offer a tree to a company stakeholder. These include our clients, suppliers, service providers… The choice is theirs! It is also a way for Sÿnia to propose “ecological labels”.

An Energy Manager Trained at the CCI
Justin, an employee at Sÿnia for several years, has been trained as an energy manager at the CCI. He is now responsible for finding solutions to reduce our environmental impact and ensuring that we can produce ecological labels as much as possible. After analyzing our practices, he identified a number of areas for improvement. Since then, we have implemented several changes:
- We now only use recycled and/or recyclable consumables across all company departments.
- To reduce our water consumption, aerators have been installed on faucets.
- Presence detectors are installed on light fixtures in high-traffic areas to limit electricity consumption.
- Heating is programmed to avoid significant temperature variations.
Thanks to these actions, we have achieved savings of €4,000 on our electricity bill in one year. And we are getting closer to our goal of 100% ecological label production.
Paper and Cardboard Recycling
At Sÿnia, the paper and cardboard we use comply with two of the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) standards:
- FSC 100%, the certification for products from well-managed forests.
- The FSC Recycled label, for products made from recycled materials.
All our paper, cardboard, and wood consumables are recycled by Sud Recyclage. Thus, waste is collected, then sorted and processed, and then reinjected into the recycling stream to have a second life.
The company Sud Recyclage works with associations to give a second life to what can be reused. If the recovered material cannot be reused, the company changes its process. It disassembles and then sorts the component parts, and recycles the parts that can be reintroduced into the recycling stream.
